So we have submitted 2 grant applications with the City Of Seattle Parks for the Opportunity Fund 1 of which is a Development of new disc golf course(s) on any or all of these parks : Seward,Lincoln,Woodland,Discovery,Volunteer,Hamlin,Marymoor & West crest. The requested grant amount is for $750,000.00

We have also submitted a grant application for a 1.5 million dollar land acquisition to obtain the property located at: 9051 S. Myers way.  It is roughly 46 acres of unused land. It was bought up years ago by the city of Seattle Light. Currently the Seattle Fire Dept is using about 12 of the full 58 acres as a training facility. We proposed transforming this otherwise unused land into a City Of Seattle public park whose primary land use is a first class disc golf course, and secondarily land use would consist of walking and biking paths. We share the same concerns as the Nature Consortiums Urban Forest Restoration Project and we want to help in invasive non native plant removal and reintroducing native conifer species into this area. We also want to share in these efforts to connect the West Duwamish Greenbelt to this property & West crest park. This would make for one of the largest remaining contiguous forests within Seattle city limits.

Please feel free to join us in our efforts. We encourage any an all help from the community at large.
